Everyone needs the right amount of the right people to run their business, but where do you start? What do you do if you don’t have enough employees? You need to invest in fixing the problem. It may take time. It may take money. There are resources available and companies that help you find and hire the right employees. Let them work on getting people in the door so you can focus on keeping them there.
How do you retain the right people? You invest in them from the beginning. Starting their first day, and every day after, let them know you care. Connect with them, invest in them, and value them from the beginning. Make them part of the process and help them understand they matter. Create an environment that appreciates and equips people. Then be intentional about implementing it. Be purposeful about building trust.
There are seasons you have to buckle down and focus to get yourself out of the situation you are in. Invest the time, energy, and resources to build your team, and be intentional about keeping them.
